Christina Hendricks was an American actor, most famous for her portrayal of Joan Holloway. She played her role for seven seasons on AMC's classic period show Mad Men from 2007-2015. The series earned the actress six Emmy nominations for her performance as the best support actor as well as praise from critics. Since her time in the industry with over two decades she has also earned her fame for her performance as a character in the legal thriller Kevin Hill comedy series Another Period crime-drama the series Tin Star and comedy-crime series Good Girls. The actress is well known for her performance in Drive Ginger & Rosa Lost River Neon Demon Strangers Prey At Night Egg, American Woman and The Neon Demon. Her voice was used in animation films like Toy Story 4, Scoob! and From Up on Poppy Hill. Her career began as a fashion model, and went on to do so for many years prior to making her TV debut with the 1999 anthology Undressed. The first major role she played was in the comedy drama Beggars and Choosers following which she was also recognized for her role in the hit show Firefly. Esquire magazine voted her as the Sexiest Woman on Earth as well as the most attractive American woman for 2010.
